So glad I finally checked out this takeaway Deli after hearing so many top recommendations! ​The shop is spotless and organized, and the quality-to-price ratio on their seafood is hard to beat. I picked up fresh hake and impressive, meaty salmon offcuts—definitely none of those thin strings! Finally a fish shop in our area! Great selection, best advice and very friendly service. Love it! Fish braai or seared sesame tuna at home? No problem anymore. Try the salmon crème cheese spread on a bagel and the quiches - delicious!

We had a hard time finding decent bread in Bloubergstrand area, and were so happy to find the most amazing breads here (fresh daily). But ofcourse, besides that, they offer an amazing aray of seafood but also cheese and other delicacies. Very much worthwhile a visit, as the service is super friendly and helpful and they always offer a taste of something yummy. Highly recommended store.

Good quality fish. Their pies and samosas are amazing.

We were looking for quality seafood and came across famous fish. We were not disappointed. Over a 10 day stay we went back almost daily for oysters as well as had prawns, octopus, and a variety of fish. It was all of the highest quality. The service was amazing. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Great place to get fresh or frozen fish. Got some hake fillets and smoked tuna. Very yummy and tastes very fresh. Ladies working there are also very welcoming and friendly.

This super clean, super friendly shop offers a large variety of fish, including crab (which I will be back for). The deli has all sorts of deliciousness. We will definitely be back regularly. So happy to have this on our doorstep! Staff are super friendly too.

Hochwertiger, schön verpackter, immer frischer Fisch und andere Delikatessen. Ein großer Kühlpult mit frischem und geräucherter Fisch und mehrere Tiefkühltruhe mit Octopus, Muscheln, Shrimps etc. Sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal. Jede Menge Parkplätze in der Umgebung.

A superb little fish shop and deli. It’s family-run, and the staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to make recommendations. The selection of fresh fish is excellent, with plenty of complementary deli items to choose from, all top quality. They even offer treats for dogs and cats, which makes it a wonderful pet-friendly stop. I honestly can’t wait to go back, try even more of their fish, and maybe pick up something new each visit.

This family owned deli is a gem for seafood lovers. They have dedicated themselves to selling top-quality fish and seafood products that are beautifully packaged and displayed. Their passion for seafood is unmistakable - they smoke the fish themselves and craft a variety of delicious fish options like their amazing Tuna samosas( actual tuna fillets), smoked Snoek samosas, pates, dips, fish cakes, quiches and so much more. You have to try their smoked Tuna carpaccio, a restaurant quality serving... pair it with their smoked Mackerel, or smoked Angel fish, pair it with anything you find inside this cute little deli, everything is worth tasting. The deli itself is a pleasure to enter, with a warm modern interior, and an incredible family who run this place. Thank you to the team at Famous Fish for bringing this gorgeous local treasure to Cape Town's west coast, ❤️

Tried their Norwegian Mackerel and it was AMAZING. So fresh and tasty. Literally stick it in the pan with salt, pepper and lemon juice and that's it. So delicious. I'll only be getting my fish from here from now! Incredibly well priced also.

We’re so lucky to have this new fish store open near our home! The quality of the seafood is truly outstanding — we bought some crab, and it was incredibly fresh, meaty, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the difference. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you get, and the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and even offered us a taste of their tuna biltong — something I had never tried before, and it was amazing! As promised, here’s a photo — we really enjoyed it! Discovered this newly opened absolute Gem this morning. A pristine shop with knowledgeable staff and an excellent range of fresh and frozen seafood at reasonable prices. This is my new go to shop for fresh seafood.

Stunning little shop, they have ready made snacks, I will definitely back for the snoek samosas, the mackerel pies and some of that smoked tuna biltong! YES, tuna biltong! My doggies also went nuts for tuna pet treats. My new go to spot, and though they personally dont stock it, they even helped me with a contact for bait for my next fishing trip. Such sweet folks, very welcoming and great quality food.

A really upmarket fish supplier. There are others too and this one is more expensive but the quality is superb. I have just eaten a portion of fresh Kob for lunch and it reminded me of the ones that I used to catch, cook and eat the same day that it was caught. Good selection of frozen seafood and looks pretty superior to the other local and online suppliers. They gave us some Tuna biltong to taste. Will be back for some of this.😋
